Day of employees of hydrometeorological service - national professional holiday for those who is anyway involved in operation of hydrometeorological center of the country and which is marked in Ukraine every year, on November 19



Day of employees of hydrometeorological service received in Ukraine the status of an official public professional holiday rather recently. On March 11, 2003 in the capital of the Ukrainian republic the hero town of Kiev, the second president of Ukraine Leonid Danilovich Kuchma signed the Decree N 208/2003 "About Day of employees of hydrometeorological service" which ordered to mark this date annually on November 19. In the presidential decree of Leonid Kuchma in particular it was said that the new professional holiday in the country is entered "considering an important role of employees of hydrometeorological service in support of public authorities, local governments, the population with hydrometeorological information, forecasts and warnings of the dangerous and spontaneous phenomena, in the decision of other nation-wide tasks

Already traditionally in Day of employees of hydrometeorological service the country leaders and the higher officials of Ukraine congratulate workers on this professional holiday, and the caused most a stir from them are awarded with awards, mementoes, government diplomas and thanks of a manual.
